We recently measured user efficiency with a few custom web-based search tools. So that we can level set performance against our existing tools, with which the users have significantly more experience, we'd like to understand how search efficiency may be expected to improve over time as users become accustomed to a particular tool. Are there any studies or stats related to that I may be able to reference?
